EXCELLENT Based on 63 reviews Posted on Leah O.Verified The VIP section was great. It will as raining heavily was so happy we had the VIP section. Would but this again. They had an open bar. The food and beer and tequila were all great.Posted on Jason G.Verified It was a little hard to find the event on the grounds of Main Place as no signs were directing where exactly the event was being held. We eventually found it and entered the VIP line which moved quite fast. There were a good amount of vendors with a variety of food to sample. A few vendors included a few taco trucks. After trying a few savory bites and sweet treats we concluded our favorite vendor was Gus Fried Chicken. The wait was about 10 minutes, but it was worth it. The chicken was perfectly fried and seasoned. The extreme heat of the chicken complimented the cold raindrops slowly landing on us as it was about to rain. The event and live entertainment continued despite the drastic change in the weather. We mostly spent much of our time under the VIP tent due to the rain, but enjoyed mingling with the other guests trying to stay dry, and continued listening to the live band while trying some bites located within the VIP tent. An open bar was also included for anyone attending as a VIP. The drinks were great and crafted pretty well by a small staff of bartenders working endlessly due to the rain. Thanks to the bartenders for keeping the vibe strong. We enjoyed our time at this year's event. Hopefully next time it won't be raining, but that didn't stop the Taste of Santa Ana event from being a success.Posted on Christopher K.Verified Overall, despite the rain, it was a really fun time, and some folks were out in front of the tent dancing to a great band and getting soaked in rain that alternately drizzled and poured. Super friendly food vendors and generous portion samples from many great local restaurants and food trucks that I will definitely be frequenting now that I know about them. Comments: location of the event itself is somewhat confusing with NO indication it would be held in the parking lot and not INside the mall somewhere, and NO directional signs if you come in off south Mainplace Drive looking for it. There is nothing on the actual ticket that indicates this. The big VIP tent was a great place to hang, listen to the band and shelter from the rain, especially with an open bar. Regrettably, actually getting to the open bar was another issue altogether. The understaffed bartenders worked very hard to service the lines, but in almost no bar in the world will I wait close to half an hour in line to get a drink instead of being out enjoying the event itself. All this being said, I would still come back again.Posted on Matthew K.Verified The 6th Annual Taste of Santa Ana was such an amazing venue with numerous food vendors and restaurants that were there sampling out some of their delicious food and drinks! The ambience of this event was lively with exciting music and entertainment on the stage as well as different games set up even for children to play! The highlight for me was being able to try all of the mixed drinks because they were definitely amazing! I would definitely go back again next year and I am excited to see what new treats and entertainment they'll have!Posted on Carol S.Verified This was the most fun I've had in awhile. All the food was great the band was loud and fun they had everyone dancing. So many people having a great time. Lots of things for the whole family to do. A must see for next yearPosted on Jamie S.Verified What an amazing experience! There were so many restaurants that I had never been to before and probably would have never known about if it weren't for the taste of Santa Ana. I reviewed each of the participating restaurants and clubs individually. Here's a tip if you're going to do an event like this with someone - we got 5 tasting tickets each, so we literally each had 2 bites of everything, but we were able to taste 10 different restaurants. It really expanded the experience thus enabling us to see more places so we could bookmark places we would like to return to. Had a blast and can't wait to do it again. If you get an opportunity to visit an event like this, I highly recommend you do!! :)
